Shop

Concept

Shop.

A shelf of manuals, a few prints, and nothing behind the counter. If we ever open one it will be small — things worth owning, described honestly, priced once. There is no counter today, and no till. What follows is the shape of a shop, so you can tell us whether it is worth building one.

What is a concept

  • Nothing on this site is for sale. No price here is a price you can pay.
  • No cart, order, checkout or payment exists, and no payment processor is connected to VWX.
  • The product below was invented for this page. It has never been printed, packed or posted.
Back to the shop concept

A cart with nothing in it.

The structure of a cart, with the one invented item in it and every number left out.

Everything below is an illustration.

Nothing here is for sale, so there is nothing to add up.

A promotion, described.

A shop would let you type a code here, and the total would change. There is no code, no field to type it in and no total to change.

Checkout, described.

The next page would take a payment through a processor named here in plain sight, and then say what happens to your address. There is no next page.

Envisioned

  • A short list of things worth owning, rather than a catalogue.
  • Each one described by someone who has handled it.
  • A price set once, and the reason for it written down.
  • Nothing sold that we would not keep ourselves.
  • VWX will not authenticate a vehicle, and will not share anyone's contact details without their consent.

Tell us what you think

  • Would you buy anything from a site like this?
  • Manuals, prints, or neither?
